About Me
My approach
You as an individual know yourself better than anyone else and are in the best position to know what you want or need. Sometimes it takes a little time and effort to clarify these things. Counselling is a very effective way of doing this.
I will work with you at your pace to support you to explore the person you are and what's troubling you right now. I aim to provide a safe and confidential space for you to explore challenging experiences, thoughts and feelings, always with your wellbeing in mind. Together we can explore how you want to move forward. You will be at the heart of our work.
My training is in person-centred counselling, a humanistic approach. I have particular experience in short term, focussed work.
For the past few years, I have carried out extensive counselling work with CRUSE, the bereavement charity, on a voluntary basis. I also work as an Approved Therapist with Anxiety UK.
I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and adhere to their Ethical Framework for Good Practice.

After years of contemplating counselling, I finally made the decision to and saw Sue. She was very empathetic and understanding of my situation and helped me to help myself. C
I found the counselling sessions extremely beneficial and I achieved what I wanted to from them. Sue was very easy to talk to and helped me to come up with ideas to help myself going forward...I definitely feel more confident about managing now that the counselling has ended. A
